Omer Raes launched the company in 1927.<BR>
At that time he started the production and breeding of Begonia- and Gloxina seeds. Omer had one of the first seed
companies in Europe that offered not only seed, but also seedlings to their clients.<BR>
Omers son, Valère added more colours into the Begonia Tuberosa assortment. At that time he began to export his seeds,
mainly to the Netherlands.<BR>
He also started the production and sale of seed and seedlings from bedding plants.

Nowadays Valère is still active, but his son Rudy runs the company.<BR>
Today, the company has become one of the leading seed and seedling companies in Europe.<BR>

Our objective is to ensure the continuity of the business by spreading risk, improvement of all aspects

Raes Plant Production nv specialises in the production of annuals and biennials from seed. This company produces
exclusively for Rudy Raes Bloemzaden nv.<P>
Raes Plant Production nv owns more than 20,000 m² high technology greenhouses. Recently considerable investment has been
made in modern sowing-machines, blow-out and fill-in machines and a sophisticated barcode system.<P>
